Teacher Assistant at Värmdö Vocational Gymnasium

Do you want to work closely with students and contribute to a practical and motivating school environment? Värmdö Vocational Gymnasium is now looking for an engaged teacher assistant who wants to support our students in their education.

About the position As a teacher assistant, you will work closely with both teachers and students in daily activities. You will provide extra support to certain students in their schoolwork and contribute to structure, safety, and a conducive learning environment. The role is partly practical, and you may also assist in our vocational training and workshop environments.

At the school, we offer vocational programs in Electrical, Plumbing, Construction, Marine Technology, and Automotive, which means that work sometimes takes place in workshops or practical training environments alongside students and teachers.

Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons and during the school day

• Work with students who need extra assistance

• Assist teachers in classrooms and practical tasks

• Help in our vocational programs in Electrical, Plumbing, Marine Technology, Construction, and Automotive

• Contribute to a safe and structured school environment

We are looking for someone who

• Is practical and enjoys working with young people

• Is clear, calm, and has good collaborative skills

• Is responsible and flexible

• Has experience from practical professions, schools, or working with youth (preferable)
